Interview

Some Personal Information About Me:

I grew up in the country riding dirt bikes from age 11. Never could ride my dirt bike like a normal, sane child and drove my parents insane on it as a teenager. I Graduated high school and took a motorcycle mechanics course and pursued a carrier pulling wrenches on motorcycles.  Working 6 days a week made it more practical to sell my dirt bike and buy a street bike to ride to work.  I was young, foolish and stunting on the streets made it far less practical when the tickets started to roll in. I had the smarts to take my riding off the streets and infront of crowds and that is where it all took off.

What inspires you to compete?

Sports wouldn't exist if i was not for competition. Its in my nature as an athlete to compete. My wheelies are better then your wheelies, my bike is faster, so on and so on. I am glad that there is finally a sanctioned competition in Canada because it will help us as riders progress.  Competition motivates us as riders to push the limits of our machines and our selves. There is no limit to where this sport can go. We as athletes are only bound by our fears and competition is the best way to throw fear a side.

Why do you like this sport?

I don't like this sport I LOVE this sport. Its my one true passion and always has been. Lets put it this way, when my ex told me that it was either her or my bike that had to go it was an easy choice. It seems as soon as i throw my leg over my bike all my problems and stress goes away. There is no better feeling then dropping the clutch and letting it all hang out.  There is always new tricks to learn, and always room to improve the ones you have.  I guess I have a no risk, no reward type attitude and this sport full fills that.

Describe your style...

My style is a reflection of how I am feeling at the moment. It can be laid back, relaxed and smooth or it can be fast kick ass and reckless. Style to me is everything. My style helps me stand out in a crowd and it took years of doing tricks, reviewing tapes and pictures to get it dialed perfect. Its not good enough to do a trick, you have to do it with style and make it your own.  Like my good friend Tim once said " To do a dangerous task with style is what i call art".
Style is the essence of what we do as stunters and my success is based on it.

Employment / Experience Summary

I have stunted my bike in front of every kind of crowd ranging from small charity events like ride for sight to full stadium shows in Vancouver Bc and Regina Sk. The majority of my events are at drag strip and race track events. Stunting my bike has landed me on the front page of two news paper covers in Alberta as well as in three videos distributed internationally. I have been on tv doing interviews several times for global news and city tv in Vancouver and Edmonton. I think I am the only Canadian as well to make a super street bike magazine sik pik with my own signature trick. In over 8 years experience now i have completed over 80 shows which makes me one of the most senior and successful Canadian stunt rider.
